A couple weeks ago, I linked to a report that President Obama planned to nominate Sam Hamilton to head the U.S. Fish And Wildlife Service. I asked what you knew about Hamilton and if you approved of the choice. Looks like most of you decided to reserve judgment, possibly waiting for more information.

_Ducks Unlimited’s more than 1 million supporters should be elated to hear that President Obama intends to nominate Sam D. Hamilton to be the next director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Hamilton, a career senior biologist and manager with the Service, currently serves as director of the agency’s Southeast Region. . . .
_”Sam Hamilton is the consummate professional. He has accomplished great things for wildlife in his many years of work with the Fish and Wildlife Service. . . ,” said Dr. Alan Wentz, Sr. Group Manager for Conservation, Communications and Marketing for Ducks Unlimited. “Sam has worked with Ducks Unlimited on many projects and programs over the year and we are lucky that he is willing to move into this important position. . . .
“Sam Hamilton is not only a strong wildlife professional, he is also an advocate for hunting and fishing and other wildlife-based recreation,” said Wentz.
