Okay, I admit it. Pritchard is getting a Christmas gift. (A Nylabone.) This is a first for me. I’ve never given a dog a gift. But according to an Associated Press poll, 52 percent of pet owners will give their dogs a gift, up 43 percent from last year. Hey, at least I’m trendy.
Would she rather a steak? Yes. But I know she wouldn’t want any part a product that recently came across the Man’s Best Friend Desk. It’s called the PABS (Pet Anti Breeding System), and it’s described as “the first chastity belt for pets.” I’m not making this stuff up, folks.
The device, which looks fairly midevil, consists of straps, buckles, and a mesh pad that covers the goodies. As the inventor of this product, Dexter Blanch, says, “Stop it. Block it. Lock it.” For more of Blanch check out the video. Word is there’s a demand for a PABS designed for camels.
Don’t know about you but I’m sticking with the Nylabone. Friends, here’s hoping you and your pup have a Merry Christmas and a happy, safe holiday.
